As a web developer I find the weirdest and/or coolest web coding gadget sites. Just found this about an hour ago: 4umi.com/web/javascript/worldclock.htmIt actually says that Wellington is (gmt+12) -- 09:52:00 Friday when EST is 16:52:00 Thursday, etc. Not sure if that helps or not -- never heard of the "3/4 hour" thing -- only Newfoundland here in Canada being a half hour different than the rest of the Maritimes :-\

OK, I did the conversion again, I corrected the times, it's 11:00 am Sunday for New Zealand. The first site I did the conversion on must be run by those damned liberals.

The web dev site above apparently got its info from this (noisy) site: www.timeticker.com/EST is GMT-5, and Wellington is GMT+12, AFAIK.

Hey Marc, it looks like the NSP and all your other steady work has resulted in far-reachign promotion of AiLL (whether or not you intended this and/or were fully aware of the extent). Just stumbledupon this: BuildFreedom.com has a Better World Essay Contest in 2004. Look at what " Hank Atlas" had to say, in the " JUDGE" section ;D And check out the essay " Individual Strategies for a Better World" by M. Antonio, of " Remake the Matrix" -- under " To perfect society". Congrats, word is getting out, and more importantly minds are being libertated, mental prisons are being obliterated! It's certainly not hyperbole when you say "I may be biased, but my book is probably one of the most important books ever written!" - - - PS: Friday funny for y'AiLL... The Wikipedia entry for " State" says this right off the bat.(Perhaps you should make sure you're not drinking milk while reading it.) A state is a set of institutions that possess the authority to make the rules that govern a society, having internal and external sovereignty over a definite territory. Following Max Weber's influential definition, a state has a 'monopoly on legitimate violence'.- - - ROFL -- So lemme get this straight: The "state" apparently has "authority" to make "rules" to control a "society", and it gets this authority because it somehow magically has "sovereignty" over some definite "territory" -- and since "the map is not the territory", it's not that the "state" can dictate the behaviour of a MAP of a piece of land, it's actually the behaviour of the LAND ITSELF that can be "governed" But wait, the state is not people but rather a "set of institutions", and what are institutions? Institutions are social structures and social mechanisms... So in short, "the state is a set of social structures/mechanisms (aka IDEAS) that are figuratively sitting on a high-and-mighty throne and ordering around the ground". That's insane. Statism is a mental illness. ;D Have a good weekend, peeps!

This Saturday, July 8, 2006, my guest on the No State Project will be Mark Chiles; Mark is currently running for election for justice of the peace in Mesa, Arizona.
Finally, someone has agreed. Should be a great show.

Darren, I would assume he is against all government since government means control. Well I'm not so sure. During the 2004 "election" Alex was saying he would vote the Constitution party because the Libertarian party was not taking a "pro-life" position re. abortion. Similiar to Ayn Rand, it appears that Alex believes that some level of government is necessary but that it should be both minimal and restrained by some written instrument. Ironic since freedom="absence of restraint" and govern="restrain". I'm not picking Alex for any personal reason (I love what his show provides, and after 9-11 the huge increase in listeners and website viewers demonstrated he is certainly providing a valuable and important service). I just think he's got tens of thousands of regular listeners and has so many diverse guests that it would be helpful to get a lot of them thinking about the "looting and violence" basis of government (as covered so well by the above Lew Rockwell article). For anyone who is interested I've got a tentative "draft" of what I would like to say in a future phone call (and I am thinking of utilizing this for people like Sean Limbaugh and Rush Hannity and the like too) check it out here ... dragondirt.proboards44.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=gaffe&thread=1130636149Hearing how Bill O'Reilley (aka "Big Giant Head") had recently cut off a caller just because he mentioned the name "Keith Olbermann", well I guess it inspired me in a way... Marc's radio show is great, but he doesn't have tens of thousands of listeners. But many of THESE GUYS do: "*calling* all wingnuts... and leftist loons" <-- who's with me on this project? ;D

SWEET! Not only was Marc a rare "guest", but an even rarer "2-fer", and even more rare and unique he is a 2-fer guest "promoting a book". Good on you, Marc! WTG! ;D - - - "Free Talk Live is brought to you by "the Free State Project"... It's your *only* choice for more personal freedom, and smaller less-intrusive government" ^ Notice that Ian mentioned your website, but did NOT mention the name of your (relatively new) radio show -- perhaps because it's an obvious play on the "FSP"? Marc, I must (jokingly) ask: were you, "one of the greatest thinkers of our time", only allowed on under the condition that you would not promote "non - voting"?

FYI for anyone who listened to the VERY LONG call to the NSP in hour #1 of the June 24th show ("Paul") re. health and conspiracies and stuff -- starting at 29:05, and going until 43minutes 17seconds (with a break in between)... He said his MySpace is "Awake And Free" -- actually it's "AwakenFree": www.myspace.com/awakenfreeA few good "little known knowledge" videos linked on the left side towards the bottom... including re. AIDS. :-\
