He double booked himself....He forgot....He didn't care....He received an intergalactic call from a group of thugs statesmen to intervene on the stateless affairs of the planet Vega...He climbed up a tree in order to rescue a stranded kitten and soiled his dialing hand...He changed his mind... Ok, I'll stop now...Not one more word...Nosereebob...Not from me

This Saturday, my guest on The No State Project will be Stephan Molyneux. Stephan is host of Freedomain Radio and a regular contributor to lewrockwell.com. I'm stuck in a time warp so I have only just now listened to this show. Very good. I liked the extra attention devoted to explaining the importance of "Standing". This one aspect of court procedure could cut through all the patriot type BS. Of course you have to use SC decisions to make the point but you laid it out very well when saying that "These are your own rules!!" addressing the so-called lawyer(s). Another thing that lawyers like to throw around is jurisdiction as you pointed out. If you have time, would you elaborate on the different types of jurisdiction on next Saturday's show? I know that your basic definition of jurisdiction is "control of another person or their property" but what about "subject matter jurisdiction"? I understand that jurisdiction doesn't come into the picture until the issue of "standing" is settled but let's assume that the hypothetical plaintiff does have standing. KT

(update August 2006: crosslink for 'research purposes' -- " STANDING - an issue worthy of its own thread!" ) - - - - - - - Wow, Marc! The May 11th "Higher Ground", on the subject of "standing", was amazing! Maybe it was a blessing in disguise that your lawyer friend didn't make it to the NSP the following weekend. Maybe he had somehow managed to listen to the Higher Ground program, and realized what would be happening with him as a guest. In the HG program, you ended up explaining again and again the simplicity that is the theoretical purpose of the government/justicesystem, and thus how "standing" in a "state-brought case" is an imposibility. ;D Puts to shame all those paytriot arguments about subjectmatter jurisdiction, or even personal jurisdiction. Without a case, without a valid controversy, which is impossible without the complainant having standing... well, jurisdiction won't even matter. And to top it off, you even got a handful of callers who actually knew what you were talking about, and didn't argue with you about the impracticality of anarchism, or why the constitution corrects the problem you were identifying so clearly. ;D truthradio.com/AudioArchive/Higher Ground Live -- Pastor Massad/07318-AR Higher Ground Live 05-11.MP3You're always suggesting people make CDs full of your best radio shows. Well, this is definitely "one for the hall of fame"

Thanks DD. I need to upload those shows to my archive page.
I just got off the phone with someone at Ray Barnes's office and he's not in today, I'll call tomorrow. I'll let everyone know what happened, why he did not do the show.
I spoke with someone yesterday who knows a lawyer from the Buch I administration, he thinks he'll do the show. We'll see.

Mr. Barnes was home taking care of his wife who is sick with cancer. I hope she gets better.

This is great news, Marc. You need two hours, in my opinion, and I think you'll do well with it.

By the way, why is New Zealand 17 & 3/4 of an hour behind? I thought the time zone thing was by whole hours? Do the time rays get deflected by going down under there?

I went to some web site that did the conversion. If it's not correct, someone can send me another conversion site.

I'm not sure about the 3/4 hour, but I know that they do the Daylight Savings thing by 1/2 hour. Seems totally insane to me, but then, whut do I know?
