I can see where this is comin' from as here in california, people who can afford to, flip houses so wildly they've nearly out marketed these dwellings for us regular home seekers. owning a home in cali has become the subject in your wildest dreams. what is one to do if land or lots are not available and you're left to comply with the monopoly? It's as if the entertainment industry are the only ones occupying this state. Taint just Calif, my friend. www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Alberta+housing+crisisOf course now folks here in Edmonton are demanding "rent control" etc. since too few new houses = almost non-existent apartment vacancy = Evil Landlords Can Hike Rates More. Have I mentioned that I was planning on moving out of my townhouse and into a smaller apartment this spring/summer? Now, not so sure... btw I wonder how much of the up-to-2-year delay in new houses being built here is due to a lack of motivation by builders, specifically due to taxes and regulatory costs? PS: Lummox, nice use of the word "armies". I didn't know there was a non-military meaning of it, damn statist propaganda... 2. A large group of people organized for a specific cause: the construction army that built the Panama Canal.
