Of course now folks here in Edmonton are demanding "rent control" etc. since too few new houses = almost non-existent apartment vacancy = Evil Landlords Can Hike Rates More.
Have I mentioned that I was planning on moving out of my townhouse and into a smaller apartment this spring/summer? Now, not so sure...
btw I wonder how much of the up-to-2-year delay in new houses being built here is due to a lack of motivation by builders, specifically due to taxes and regulatory costs?
