The late Boris Yeltsin helped
rid the world of communism? So say the Talking Heads this week.
Umm... r u sure, oh wise and trusted voices of the media?
A great analysis of the modern reality of the "Ten Planks"The Communist Manifesto is perhaps the one writing that would change the world forever. In theory, communism solves some problems, and creates other problems. If it actually worked according to theory, it might not be half bad. In practice, communism has NEVER been an effective form of government. Nor has socialism.
A communism puts limits on everything. You are told what to do and how to do it. You are not taught HOW to think, you are taught WHAT to think. You can look at examples from the past. Many countries, Hitler's Germany and Stalin's Russia, and actually, examples can be found in present day text books of this, in schools, ask the students questions that don't teach them to think, but what to think. If I ask you "Have you stopped beating your wife yet?" And tell you to give me a Yes or No answer, no matter WHAT you say, the result is the same. By answering Yes, you say that you USED to beat your wife but have quit. If you answer NO, then you are still beating her. There is no room in such systems for anything the government disagrees with.
In communism, people are expendable. Government has the least respect for it's people. In fact, the less people the better, fewer people to feed, clothe, and house. In essence, Communism puts man above God, provided of course, it doesn't say there IS no God in which case, man becomes God. The people under communism are controlled and manipulated, usually through fear and threats. A communist form of government doesn't want the people to have anything, as is made clear in the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto.
Before I delve deeper into these matters, what are the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto?
1. Abolition of private property and the application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralization of the means of communications and transportation in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state, the bringing into cultivation of waste lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to labor. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries, gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equitable distribution of population over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labor in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production.
Think about those for a minute. Is that REALLY a system you want running YOUR life?
...here is something to ponder... You don't give a rat a bowl of poison. You give the rat a bowl of good food, with just a little bit of poison. That little bit of poison kills the rat. Well, the same is true of text books. There is a little bit of poison mixed in our text books, and it is killing the minds of our youth. Have you noticed how they keep having to dumb down the SAT tests to make our youth look smarter? Do you know what the bottom line of public education and government involvement is? "Let me control the textbooks, and I will control the state." -Adolf Hitler. That is the bottom line right there.
The government is being as forceful as it can be while still being discreet, but there was an article in a local paper a couple years back announcing that a nearby county was enacting a law that would allow jail time and criminal punishments for the parents of a child who was truant or excessively absent from school. I will have to dig to find this article if anyone is interested. Public education isn't a priviledge, it is mandatory!
So folks... I will let you draw your own conclusions, but communism is NOT the way to go. I will go so far as to say that Senator Joseph McCarthy had the right idea about communists. I will grant that he may have been a little extreme, but when you have groups like the ACLU, who's founder by the way had stated that "Communism is the goal." It takes strong commitment to defeat an enemy, and communism truely is an enemy of liberty.
