I've had a bit of success at the workplace getting folk to think about AiLL/freedom issues...(normally a difficult thing to do). I've been "burning" audio CD's with my favorite AiLL interviews of Marc on them and passing them out to friends at work. Normally, I have conversations at break-time with friends and bring up AiLL/freedom type topics. If the person seems interested, I just so "happen" to have on hand an audio CD that they can listen to on the way to or from work as they are traveling. I always suggest that they use the time in their car to listen while they are traveling to and from work, (so they don't use the excuse of having no time at home to listen because they are too "busy"). ;-)
I have had a number of favorable comments from my friends about the CD's, and they have told others about them. I've told them to pass them around, and I'll give them more. The good thing about this "method" of promoting AiLL/freedom issues is that CD's are dirt cheap to buy and burn now...also most cars have CD players now from the factory. The interviews give the info about ordering the book should the person care to follow through.
What is very encouraging is the response from the younger workers about the CD's. They seem to really "get it"! I tell them before they listen to the Cd's, not to let their mind get "bogged down" with legal details but listen to the concepts that are being brought forth by Marc. After they listen to the CD's, I always "follow-up" with comments that steer their minds to those concepts to make sure they understand.
I'm writing this to the "group" just to share a "method" that seems to be a "painless" way of getting folk to at least think about freedom issues. You never know what can good can result from just a little bit of "seeding"!
