Yesterday I had the opportunity to see and briefly skim through Marc's book Adventures in Legal Land. I also was able to watch his intro DVD and listen to Ernie Hancock's Radio Show with Marc Stevens. Interesting information, perhaps if I'm lucky enough to get arrested again I just might try some of Marc's tactics.

Sui, If you have the ability to download some of the radio interviews that Marc has done I think they would serve you well. I have and have read the book. I found the book intriguing but listening to the various interviews has really helped me to "get my mind around it" more than I was able to by just reading the book. If I recall correctly, the shows on "Frankly Speaking" at this address were among my favorite (or "spoke clearly to me" on the subject.) They are all listed with links on Marc's site, on the left side, part way down the page. By the way, is your name based upon a hog call? If not, does it work in that fashion anyway?

I agree that listening to the radio shows is very helpful. My pick for the best are the one with Keith Rush and with Alex Merklinger.

Nope, I may be located in Kentuck' but my screen name ain't got nothing to do with hogs! ;D Sui Juris is Latin meaning "by one's own right", and I am indeed a free Man ergo suijurisfreeman. Oh I completely understand what's in Marc's book and what's said on the DVD and radio talk show tape. I actually used similar tactics back in 1994-5 when confronted by the thuggery known as government. Marc's tactics are certainly less confrontational, his tends to keep the tension level lower. I guess one problem for me atleast would be in quoting the various court cases as a basis for what I'm 'entitled' to. Since I don't claim to be a party to an entity (the State) that doesn't actually exist anyway I would find it difficult to use their 'laws' to 'defend' myself. Somehow I just don't think that I could say that I'd be willing (and even happy) to 'plead guilty' or pay a fine if they could could just answer this or that question. And yes I do understand what and why Marc is saying what he says. Anyway I may very well send for Marc's book as I'm always looking for new ideas to use on these guys.

Rizzo: No ad hominem attacks. Keep it up and you'll also be banned.

Nice judicious ( ) editing, Marc. Rizzo did seem to be straying from "facts" a bit too much, heading pretty deep into "opinions"... ;D

Thank you Mr. Stevens!!! I had thought you did not check your board very often. Glad you responded. It is nice to be called friend by you. We have only met once, but it was a long meeting. Thank you for understanding, and I apologize only to YOU, not "Winston". I only feel remorse for offending you, not the "agent". Some how, after remembering what we talked at length about in Tacoma, I really do not think I did offended you
