I chose Neo because I woke up and now wake others up, though some are not yet ready to be unplugged ...

The "Neo" of the first movie, but not really of #2 and #3, I presume - since behind-the-scenes fighting was Neo's MO in only the first film, becoming a little larger-than-life in the latter two.

Don't know what you mean by behind the scenes fighting.

Neo, you seem certain of the future. In my experience, the opposite is true.......the future is uncertain But I digress! A dictionary definition: www.yourdictionary.com/ahd/j/j0073500.html Here`s Marc "laying down The Law" ;D :

Marc added that law on my suggestion, almost word for word, which I got from a home video disclaimer on DVD, hence his words, "This should not need to be mentioned."
Okay, so your name's a play on words. Clever.

Don't know what you mean by behind the scenes fighting. Simply that he did not stand out at the beginning as some Ultimate Enemy Of The Machine, but in #2 and #3 they talked about how many previous "messiahs" had come before him, so they somehow magically knew he was the next One, etc. But in film #1, it was like almost uncertain until the end whether or not he was the One, and in the end he was in some way (ambiguously depicted) awakening others in order to dismantle the infrastructure itself - not attacking head-on the Architect et al. Isn't our approach (i.e. inside the AiLL boards, and hopefully in most of our daily lives) more like Neo's infrastructure-dismantling implied at the end of Film #1, rather than the Bruckheimeresque in-your-face offensive attacks that made up most of #2 and #3? In other words, of the 3 roles mentioned in Claire Wolfe's " 101 137 things to do before the revolution" I would guess that very few of us are "agitators", but rather are "ghosts" (those who throw wrenches in the spokes of the System without making a martyr of ourselves), or even "moles" (staying in a noteable position and enacting change from within the System). Just a thought.

An impressively clear observation DD, may I fight at your side. After the first film, Neo became "the one", which may be differentiated from "the many". Thus may is also be put forward that "the one" may also be otherwaise known as the collective unity of the individuals. As we learn to all get along, reveal our ture nature to not only this forum, but ultimately ourselves by our honesty, we will further and better define our own personal role in the constitution of "the one" - the one united front against the architect of this prison.
Have you read any Buddhist texts? Gotama the Buddah also referred to the creator of this ilusory prison as "the architect". The film "the Matrix" was very Buddhist in it's depiction of ideas & even has a Buddhist symbol depicted at the end of the credits - check it out. After I told a friend the above thoughts (who didn't fully accept them, yet didn't know any better), he heard on the radio less than a week later, that the cast & crew would engage in a Budhist ceremony at the start of each days' work.

Okay. Thanks.
The system will continue to be destroyed from within, i.e., outside of the knowledge of its agents, and from without, i.e., with their full knowledge. This board does both.
To answer you question, I am the Neo of all three movies. This will become more and more apparent as time goes by.
And anyone can be a Neo. You just have to decide how.

"Neo"; meaning "New" - no past - no judgement - existant in the present - no hangups - seeing things as they truly are - no limitations of prejudice - represented by card zero in the Tarot "the fool" (all by my own reasoning)
That is why he was free of the system - he was not bound by his own belief in it. He was "New" to it. His attainment was, as one may say, to being "born again", as innocent of all defilements as a newborn babe.
The first Neo represents all of us, learning to unlearn our past beliefs without knowing what they in fact are until we find them. Even in this state, Neo was an inspiration by his promise, which delivered by the intrinsic nature of his character that was unknown to him.
The second and third Neo were that of one who had nothing left to unlearn for he knew the bottom of the truth of (the) matter. He became the pied piper no longer concerned with his own learning, but acting just the same with a greater, unspoken purpose in mind.
I don't think you can be the Neo of all three movies - if so, how?
A humility test... Are you totally free of your intrinsic defilements of the system or are you still learning what they are?

... And anyone can be a Neo. You just have to decide how. Actually, that's not factually true: the name "Neo" is now taken on this forum Seriously, though, I want to say this: In the last few weeks, [glow=red,2,300]there are a bunch of new guests / members of this board[/glow] that still have not posted in this topic. Interesting reasons given so far, but there's a bunch of new names that are pretty intriguing! So let's hear from y'ALL here on AiLL ok?

In the future, if you have a question, please ask directly via the IM feature if you want an answer because I may not otherwise notice it / see it, allowing me to respond.

I agree, I am on another forum completely unrelated to the subject matter here and some of the funniest posts were about the screen names. Come on guys, why the screen name?
