And you are wishing for this so that it can continue on undefeated, successfully consuming what little may be left of the heritage of liberty and respect for individuals, rather than crashing spectacularly in a conflagration of bankrupt ideology so that we can get on with the reconstruction of a civil society from the burning ashes? Sorry, perhaps watching the last few episodes of "Heroes" has tainted my trademark optimism  but seriously, how are the 30-60% of the masses still asleep and believing in the "state" gonna ever wake up and see its immorality and unnecessary-ness until it dies from its own disease... you keep putting bandaids on it, that just delays the termination of what shoulda died long ago. Not saying I am encouraging tyranny, I'm just saying that for the non-sheeple it's up to us to work on creating a Galt's Gulch on the side, growing bigger and stronger over time, so when Leviathan expires there's something waiting for those lost and confused masses who are looking for a "Nanny" or "Brother" to feed/lead them. But we need to hope they won't just re-create a new copy of the old system ("Won't Get Fooled Again" comes to mind ) Dammit, now I'm pretty ambivalent about which I more earnestly desire -- a plateau of government imposition while Voluntaria becomes an inescapable reality, or increasing evil to bring aboard the fence-sitters... :-\ |

interesting, the "media black out" observation isn't just me and my paranoia:
