Sole remaining question: The Declare Your Independence 6-17-03 show, the first one with Marc, exists only as a non-working asx file on his archive page. Won't stream, won't save, just opens a bogus codey page in my browser. Did anyone already download that show, and if so, would you be willing to share it? Marc, got plans to upload it?THANKS for everything, Marc and others who replied!

How do you know Mann's banner leads to scams? Any evidence to prove that or was that just a subjective opinion?

I know that Fred Mann use to or still does offer a host of MLM type businesses under a company called Terra Libra. One of these was a private investment group headed by a guy named Harry Plott. Hmm with a name like that, it's got to be good. Anyway, this guy says that if you send him your FRN's, he will convert them to capital units and pay you 3% return per month on your investment. Plott was suppose to be an investment wizard. Apparently, this guy had definitely heard of a man named Ponzi and his famous scheme. Unfortunately, Mann was unaware of the Ponzi Scheme and invested in Harry's plot like a lot of other people.
Well, low and behold something happens to Harry's investment firm and it goes belly up leaving all the investers out in the cold. Harry comes up with a new scheme to buy a gold mine in Mali and tells everyone that their money they lost will be paid back when the gold mine starts minting coins. Well guess what? Yep, the gold mine never materializes and even more people were conned out of their cash.
I can't comment of the rest of Mann's links.

KT hit the mark. I have similar info about the situation. Sometimes its worth doing a little research, reading, and asking questions to determine the facts.
I can't comment on the others either, but Mann does have some interesting reading materials, like "TL Report #xx -slave speak" and if you just stick to the "text reports" you can read quite a bit without being bombarded with the MLM stuff.

Heidi,
Thanks, I will check the site out and fix those problems. I have a copy of the first show with Ernie. But, right now all I have is a copy on cassette the radio station engineer gave me. They weren't the most technologically advanced station in the valley.
You have both the cases I mentioned. The one from 1925 is probably Cook v Tait.
Also, if anyone wants to send books to those unfortunate enough to be stuck in a "state" facility, I can have those shipped directly from the printer/publisher so there are no problems with agents.

How do you know Mann's banner leads to scams? Any evidence to prove that or was that just a subjective opinion? First, I followed the link. Why not follow the BigBooster link, sign up and see what's there? Take a look at the "top 20 programs." KT and Sagas told you about one of them. I could tell you about many, many others, some from years ago that he no longer lists -- of course, he rotates the lists. But why bother with my recollections? when the evidence is there for you to see for yourself. Sign up and watch. Join the Topica FI list he runs too. It's all there. Don't know what more hard evidence you want. Neo, good judgment includes distinguishing between a court situation where someone is trying to rob you, and a situation where you're merely getting a friendly tip from someone who's been there before you. Recall what I said: "Caveat Lector, or Emptor as the case may be." That means, Reader (or Buyer) Beware. In other words, it was a friendly warning. Hope Marc and/or others will have responses/comments on the rest of my post. Thanks, everybody!

Heidi, I have read most of your posts. You seems to be very familiar with Mr. Stevens. You write to him like you are a personal friend or maybe more? (teehee) Are you two consulting on a bigger project? Another book maybe? I would like to be notified of any new or upcoming products or services that are libertarian in nature. TIA

Hi, Riz ~ I'm very familiar with his work in the book and most of the online interviews, I've corresponded with him prior to the inception of the website, and I consider myself a friend toward him and conduct myself accordingly - but I'm not in business with him. In one of Ernie H's interviews on Declare Your Independence, a guy calls in and addresses Marc as "Mr. Stevens." Marc replies, "Hey- please, call me Marc." So hey, I call him Marc, too. What you mentioned about new products and services reminded me of something Marc talked about in the Feb 12 2004 Mysteries of the Mind (Alex Merklinger) show. He made passing comment on "proprietary services and products" in the works that could easily obviate court action for people with contract disputes they'd like settled. Maybe an arbitration service of some kind? Is it still too soon to talk about these developments, Marc? thanks & best wishes to you, Riz! p.s.: I may have to split my questions in the thread starter post into separate threads, since it looks like no one has any info to share on them.

uhh...I think you should be happy for them, not sorry....Cheer up man, life is just a dream...... Thank you KT!! You make me laugh at myself. I just re read my apology. I did not mean I was sorry Mr. Stevens is married. I am sorry that I made the assumption that he was not. My intention was NOT to offend him and his wife and also Heidi. I am going to let this go now.

We know you're married, Marc! I just felt Riz was joking if he in any way implied what your reply to him suggested. LOL!
