So I'm watching a bunch of 9/11- and Iraq-truth videos on Youtube. And to lighten things up, I "rediscovered" a classic mashup... World of Evil 2004 ("Courage, America!") ;D Enjoy! - - - Just found another version of "World of Evil", which has a detailed description/explanation: 'World of Evil' is an all-out AV assault on an American political machine now in psychotic overdrive for the Presidential election. A 5000 frame crash edit comedy celebration of the blatant corruption, florid insanity and plain good old smelly bullshit that characterises the political landscape of the world's most powerful country. The 'World of Evil' piece by US cut-up don TV Sheriff is the first fruits of the Revolution USA project, where the global audience is invited to interactively remix the media and get satirical or plain nasty on the besuited mini-beelzebubbas who juggle things improper on behalf of us all. And if this is just the start, imagine where it's going to finish For more information on this online, multimedia political art project put together by Coldcut and collaborators Nomig go to www.revusa.net

George Carlin, master of well-articulated disgust, exposes the ridiculous mythology of " Save The Planet" (i.e. people are a threat to the planet's survival... NOT!) ;D

I find Jay Leno notoriously un-funny. But sometimes he lets average people fill a few minutes of his boring late night show. In this case, it's Actual Calls To 911 Emergency... By So-Stupid-It-Hurts People. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DYSdoNbDh4No duty to protect, natch, but what about a duty to put up with idiots?

Write a letter to your congressperson... ...and feel better about democracy or something... In the 4th episode of the " Mr. Deity" video short series on YouTube, the point of view expressed by "God" is pretty much how George Bush, nay, ANY politician, sees "their" constituents -- and exposes the pointlessness of "reminding your elected representative that you hired them, and you can fire them" www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaZDcS-rMf4 ;D

Marc has contributed the Friday Funny for us today... That's gotta be (the tail end of) the Golden Age of SNL -- such a talented cast (ignoring many of the SNL characters they tried pitifully to stretch into 90 minute movies) and I recall it was actually watchable every week back then (early to mid 90s).

I agree, this was extremely funny. However, it is also very similiar to most school rooms today.

...Friday Fun ny... For those feeling down (like this Friday won't end fast enough) check out this "pork+Coke=worms" video, because it has the cheery song "Una Paloma Blanca" as the background music. Guaranteed to lift your spirits! (and cheaper than beer) www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCrVcGw9ZPI- - - lyrics: When the sun shines on the mountain And the night is on the run It's a new day It's a new way And I fly up to the sun
I can feel the morning sunlight I can smell the new-mown hay I can hear God's voice is calling For my golden sky light way
Una paloma blanca I'm just a bird in the sky Una paloma blanca Over the mountains I fly No one can take my freedom away
Once I had my share of losing for they locked me on a chain Yes they tried to break my power oh I still can feel the pain
Una paloma blanca I'm just a bird in the sky Una paloma blanca Over the mountains I fly No one can take my freedom away
Una paloma blanca I'm just a bird in the sky Una paloma blanca Over the mountains I fly No one can take my freedom away
Yodelling, AND a freedom-honouring message, gotta love it - - - PPS: Coke makes a great marinade/ BBQ sauce base, apparently.
