HAHAHAHAHAHA With material like this, there is no doubt to there being a sequel to AILL. You just can't make up material this good.
Marc, I was listening to the Stadtmiller show that you did right before the Austin seminar when I heard this. I didn't hear the whole show yet though. Can you elaborate on this thing of how the courts in Arizona have recently added a $350 fine to anyone who uses your stategy to win their traffic case?

That was a long time ago (95) and was not all the courts, just a mean, bitter man with a silly robe in the west Mesa "justice court." I was helping a friend with a civil traffic case. I gave him copies of some court papers, an Arizona "statute", and a motion I wrote all proving there were no civil traffic cases in Arizona. I pointed out it was an outright lie. This lawyer was a bit ticked off and started screaming at this kid and issued an order that was posted on the wall that any using my paperwork got an automatic $350 fine on top of the usual fine.
You should have seen ol' Sid Wise though. This is the guy who through books at me ;D

The motion had two things attached as exhibits. There is a statute in the transportation code proving all traffic cases are criminal and I had a court of appeals order also proving it.
The number has changed, but the text is the same "Traffic violations treated as civil matters" A.R.S. 28-1071. Treating you like a child does not make you a child. You have to appeal a civil traffic case to get further evidence. Once you get it into the court of appeals and supreme court, you will have a new docket number of course. instead of CV (civil) you get CR (criminal) and the criminal rules of procedure kick in mysteriously.
I have no evidence if this is true anywhere else, though I think it is. If you look back at the original traffic codes, all traffic cases where criminal. Most "states" decriminalized (?) parts of the codes in the 50's.

Ok, I thought I heard Stadtmiller say that it was a recent development. Still funny as hell though. Did he get ya with the book or did you duck in time? I always wondered where that phrase came.
What ever happened to the policeman who was stalking you? Ever have any other problems with personal vendettas from these guys?

Sid was not a young man, he couldn't throw with enough force to do any damage. He did hit the desk a few times. That is the only complaint I filed with the judicial conduct commission that was taken seriously. He was "retired" by the commission, though they would not confirm it had to do with my complaint. Hmmm, less than 6 months after I filed the complaint (each witness I relied on was interviewed) and he is "retired?" Thank goodness I have never seen that particular cop again. I haven't had any other vendetta's from cops.
