just a reminder, Marc's show archives are now at... mp3.wtprn.com/Marc07.htmlbtw, WOW Marc I just listened to you and Stefan having a philosophical chat. With only a single commercial break 30 minutes in. FANTASTIC. I'm burning those 54 minutes onto a CD and giving it to people. You guys touched on so much, so well, it was like a perfect "sampler" of your ideas... MP!

You know, I just realized that in all of Marc's shows he has not even once referred to the concise and succinct reference that is contained within the Private Property thread. This obviously must be an oversight on his part.

May 5 show. this was a very nice show Marc. I think that one of the things we routinely, heavily overlook is/are remedies, alternative and predetermined footsteps for sustaining order. we have to present these aspects/verbal tactic as solid, easy to digest for the new minds trying to comprehend what we are talking about. right now, what we have on the surface will only turn people away. I'm interested in getting the young minds from solely thinking about what to get high with or that sweet girl or that bomb-ass new playstation 3 game. advertisement in hip-hop magazines, shout outs in nightclubs. and Coachella type festivals. overall, we need to have relayable reality conclusion to some of these No State conquests. we're thinking ahead but we're not thinking ahead fully. we can't continue with smart aleck comeback that only present an attempt at making one either embarrased for inquiry or just plain bully belittleling.

I'm interested in getting the young minds from solely thinking about what to get high with or that sweet girl or that bomb-ass new playstation 3 game. Yeah, uh huh. Good luck with that, too! Have you considered investing in the hormone industry? ;D Or, as Dr. Phil might put it, "How's that workin' for ya?" Sounds like you might want to invest in another religion. The others are all preaching exactly the same line and they've not made any headway in the last few centuries, so it's obviously time for a new model. - NonE

Marc,
The music has got to go. I find it impossible to concentrate on the show while engaged in rapture. Or at least find some music that is not so incredibly awesome such that my mind turns to jelly, OKAY?!?

I disagree. In the other thread ("Floor Plan") someone ( creolefood) made a very good observation that we will *never* be able to come up with "The Perfect Alternative Solution" to the mess that is violently imposed on us since childhood... But if we focus mainly on the wrongness of the imposition, or the "not doing much curing now is it?" cancer analogy, or similar, then we have a chance at planting a bug on their brain. They may still stay up all night gaming, or fail a school exam cuz they're uber-lusting after the latest hottie in class, but when the terrorcrats start affecting them (e.g. that first "paycheque" with "deductions", or realizing how much % of the gas cost is "taxes" etc.) then they might just start thinking about "unplugging" and moving towards being "off the grid" -- solutions will come as a result of the TRULY FREE MARKETPLACE* (of products, services, AND ideas) growing and becoming the norm rather than the frowned-upon exception. Not a bad idea to think about and discuss and debate various versions of Galt's Gulch, but it'll always be immoral to impose a personal Nirvana on others. Even if you "know" it's best. *For MANY examples:

I've had these responses that imply I'm Naive. I'm very aware of the futile and silly ideas of naive beaurocrats and naive "citizens" in regards to such things as abstinence and "say no to drugs" and all the other hijackings of our "moral" attentions. a scoop of ice cream will take its time melting unless the heat is increased. Although we are on the same page, i'm sorry that I'm uncomfortable in my understanding of areas that I honestly feel are not dealt with. Maybe the understanding you have is the knowledge I seek and it is above my head. I'm on a learning curve. we can only imagine a world without government and therefore the full grasp eludes me. Indians have chiefs, someone the tribe can look up to. "Too many chiefs, not enough Indians". Is this cliche quote not plausible in the real world? this is the area where I'm foggiest. Maybe civilizations that existed without hierarchy were just never recorded. I arrive at this kind of thinking because there is no example that has come to my awareness. Current government has bred all sorts of ills that aren't going to disappear overnight and here I go preaching to the choir. I try to stay away from things we should already know, and there are some these things that are applied to me as if I misunderstand. Could Be. Life is about constantly recoiling as you are doing life. this recoiling is a resistance or blockade and as you keep pushing, resistance and blockades become temporary. What makes these negatives become navigatable is the knowledge of learning how to arrest them before they grow feet. There is the help that history provides us with, the knowledge of "how to". Once the entire community is aware of this knowledge, they teach it. These teachings are the "safeties" for the well-being of all. If someone were to deliberately falter on any of these standards, does this someone become responsible for their neglect if deliberate? All I'm unclear with is, how do we individually imagine an existence. I'm just curious for collective "how would you do it" ideas that will teach me and inspire me and so that I coordinate my input in return.
yes it's all gradual. How am I perceived as not knowing this?
How does someone lay in the cut, speaking from a leafy tree, attempt to cloud and identify me as a government liaison? Divide and Conquer at work? I learned my lessons in avoiding this in the history of Black Panthers. Immigration Marches, War Rallying, Hate Brigading, No matter the scale, the lesson still applies. hopefully, this was genuine skepticism. regardless, I still gotta live my hope and dream filled life. If i'm not firing at you, don't attack me, teach me.

Not a fair comparison, methinks. The tribe freely chooses to (isn't forced to, one would hope) "look up" to the chiefs. Indian "chiefs" earn that role by experience, wisdom, respect, and consent of those being "chiefed" (i.e. led, guided, taught). I am sure that members of the tribe would and could LEAVE the tribe if they disagreed with the choice of "chief", or the decisions of said chief. BOTH of those attributes are certainly not the case with the current system of violently-imposed govern-ment ("no consent required ... heck, no wisdom required either, just enough votes, oops I mean now it's just knowing the right Diebold exec... And if you don't like it, leave! Oh wait, you need a gubmint-issued passport first..."). "Knock, knock. Good afternoon sir/madam. I am spending all my free time and plenty of money donated by gullible optimists in order to achieve my ultimate goal of controlling you and yours against your will, with deadly force if necessary. Can I count on your support on election day?" I hope my response is not considering "firing at you", nor as "non-responsive". The fact is, once minds are freed from the myth of gubmintism, they are able to be fully applied to offering and accepting solutions in which multiple parties benefit (without extra parties "taking a cut" without permission). The details depend on the transaction and the medium of exchange (cash, labour, ideas, pleasure) but the reality is the same: consenting individuals enjoying human interactions without needing to resort to the threat or use of violent force. And those who wish to not participate in said interactions, can choose to not participate. HTH.
