It seems to be the perfect day to contemplate the folly of so-called "President's Day". I can remember a day when worthwhile businesses (those that provide goods and services on a voluntary basis) observed this "holiday" by closing "shop" for the day.
Today, few will argue, it's just another day-off with pay for those that provide goods and services on a violent and compulsory basis. For those businesses whose bottom line depends on providing the best good or service voluntarily, it’s just another day.
I find the irony of this most telling. For me and most on this board I suspect it’s just another day of work. A great opportunity to practice "voluntarianism", while those that provide nothing of worth, sit and "get paid". The only difference today is that those of us that are productive get a respite from the violence of those that steal for a living in the name of the “state”.

Your post reminded me of what a friend of mine (and fellow board member) told me regarding the Bill of Rights...
They had it right with the first five words and should have stopped there. ;D
