THE STATE or municipal corporation UNITED STATES. A creature of the mind, if you will. I'll tell ya, if any of you out there are dealing with bureaucrats & agencies right now, you feel like Cypher sometimes & wondr what it would be like had you not taken the red pill. p.s. when's the book comin' out?

Control. What is the foundational meaning of "govern"? Control. Govern-ment is control-ment. Matrix=Control=Government. Therefore, through the process of MATH, " Government is the Matrix" But hey, wait, can't we at least vote in a different set of agents? The Friendly Neighbourhood Architect "permits" us to do that at least

Cypher eh? Argh. You just reminded me of a very sad article I just read today, perhaps it would be cathartic for some of us to read it. It's from Mike Wasdin, a frequent and skilled libertarian poster at StrikeTheRoot, and the same fellow who started the Yahoo group " Uncle Sam Sucks". And he wrote it just a couple of weeks ago... Here is the link to his Swan Song. Pray for this man, that he remains strong and especially doesn't discourage others - but certainly don't follow his example.

How many who saw the movie "got it"? If they did, what did they get? Was it "just a movie"? Was it meant to be something more? Did it's writers realize what they'd created beyond a mere science fiction story?

I think most of the people who saw it just liked the special effects and fight scenes.
To me, the matrix is a little more than the government....the government that we see anyway. You have to include the money men too. They are the REAL government...the invisible hands who pull the strings.
There are different levels too. There is a matrix of control, money, econonmics, information, religion, and a matrix of deception or perception.
"What is Truth?" "Would you know it if you saw it?" If you say yes....then how would you know it?

Darren, but did you read my subsequent post after it? Yeah, I saw your spirited follow-up. Anyone have any thoughts on the Swan Song of Mr. "Uncle Sam Sucks"? Does it depress you? Does it inspire you to fight even harder? Does it make you take the safety of your family etc. more seriously? Some other reaction? I'll be like Neo, and not say my thoughts just yet PS: If you are confused, read a few posts previous to this one, i.e. just above. Or follow this link: www.strike-the-root.com/51/wasdin/wasdin3.html- - - *edit* Title of the Mike Wasdin swan song is " I took the blue pill".

For this guy all I can give as a response are these two quotes that seem to me to be apropriate.
JWR ----------------------------------------------------------------- "In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated, and scorned. When his cause succeeds however, the timid join him, For then it costs nothing to be a patriot." -- Mark Twain
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains set lightly upon you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." --Samuel Adams

I am pretty much indifferent in regards to his decision. KT
