"Western Libertarian Alliance" I just heard about this organization while listening to Mr. Ernest Hancoc k interviewing Ken Schoolland (author of Adventures of Jonathan Gullible). They have a 32-page newsletter - downloadable for free: westernlibertarian.org/paper.htm (the low-resolution single-file is fine unless you want to do a high quality print) SO I skimmed through it, noting the author names like Claire Wolfe, Ron Paul, and even L Neil Smith... But even better than those names: I was pleased to see very obviously from a quick glance that, to put it mildly, WLA is not exactly "LP-Friendly" ;D (For example, a cartoon makes funny of Harry Browne's attempt to get rid of the government waste by wasting money and time on trying to get people to vote him into government - proving his own point as to how political action is not the solution ) Anyway, suddenly I thought " Imagine if Marc wrote an article or two especially for this!" Just imagine. Marc, any thoughts? Also check out their "covenant" and " declaration of independence from the LP" ;D and other info on this page: www.westernlibertarian.org/philosophy.htm#wla_declaration

Darren!!!!!
Mr Stevens has ALREADY written for this paper!! Christain Nation appeared in one of the very first editions!
It is a great publication. As it's title suggests, it very Libertarian. Always a good read.
Thanks for bringing it to everyone's attention.

Yeah, and looks like it is solid GENUINE libertarian, - i.e. it is ZeroAggressionPrinciple, anarcho-capitalistic freedom libertarianism - not political "LP" libertarianism. For example, Wolfe's page 6 article "Communities For Cats" discusses "Gulching", i.e. retreating strategically (not out of defeat) in order to stop supporting the System. (Guess the origin of the name "gulching" ) Makes our topic re. "economic voting" come to mind I think I might expend some ink and print out this baby so I can read portions of it to my kids as they're sleeping...

Ernie was the one who got the article in there, made the last page ;D ;D
Not everyone who writes for the paper is a libertarian though. Jim Sharpe is NOT a libertarian even though he claims to be one. I really don't like it when talk show hosts like Jim pretend to be libertarians. They give libertarians a bad name.
And it's probably by design. How else can you explain Neal Boortz claiming to be a libertarian?

Marc, I like L Neil Smith's summary test, and I believe you have a paraphrased version of your own that you use a lot in radio interviews... Smith calls it the ZAP - Zero Aggression Principle (see www.lneilsmith.com/zap.swf ). Or as Mr. F. Gump might say, "Evil is as Evil Does."
