UPDATE: You can disregard my comments about Fireboard and seamless integration below. After seeing how slow Fireboard was, I decided to go with Simple Machines Forum (SMF). I apologize for any inconvenience and this will be the last change as far as forum software goes. Everything else below still holds true.
If you have any posts you would like me to migrate from the Fireboard forum, as short lived as it was, please contact me. I'll leave the Fireboard database intact for about a week. After that, you're SOL.
Moving forward with a purpose ...

Hi All!
After much deliberating on my own part, I've decided to install a forum called "Fireboard" on the AiLL site which was built to integrate perfectly with the CMS system we're using for the rest of the site.
Very soon, we will be locking down this forum, after which all new posts will have to be made in the New Forum. We'll keep this Forum alive for posterity's sake, for now at least. There are probably a lot of useful posts that folks will want to refer back to, but there will probably come a time when there are no more references being made to previous posts in here. I suspect at that time we'll make a decision to bid a fond farewell to this Forum completely.
That being said, I need to make this part perfectly clear. This Forum is a totally separate entity from the rest of the AiLL site, therefore if you have never registered and created a username/password for the new AiLL site, you will need to do that before you are able to post messages in the New Forum. If you have already created a username/password for the new AiLL site, then all you need to do is make sure you're logged in to your AiLL account in order to post new topics and respond to posts.
I suspect that Marc will want to begin creating new categories and boards for various topics ASAP, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Also, I'll be adding a "DiscussBot" within the next few days which will integrate articles from the main site to topics and categories in the New Forum. In other words, below articles posted on the main site, you'll begin seeing links like "Discuss this Article In the Forum", which will conveniently direct you to threads specific to that article.
There may be a slight learning curve to the New Forum, but overall I believe the transition will be fairly painless for most people. As always, if you have problems, questions, comments, or complaints you can always contact us.
This Forum will probably only be open for a few more days or weeks, so please register as part of the new AiLL community ASAP and please begin posting new messages in the New Forum, creating any track back links to this forum you may feel are necessary.
I apologize for the inconvenience, but I think it's fairly well known amongst the long-timers here that Marc has been wanting to get away from the ProBoards system for some time and we're finally reaching a point where we can make that happen.
